If you continue to do this the music will get faster and faster while you play, until it reaches a ridiculous speed, making super Mario even cooler than it was before.

BandCentral is basically the same thing as bandize but it seems it has more to offer. If you have a band or are trying to get your act together, any of these two websites would be a great resource to get organized and take your mind off all the numbers and focus on what you're really good at. It wouldn't surprise me if they come up with a mobile version of these websites or maybe a iphone application where you could access your dashboard from the road.

Amazing Street Artist Claudio "Birdman" Montuori

I recently stumbled-upon this Italian street artist named Claudio Montuori, and quickly fell in love with his music, it amazes me how creative and musical he can be with a few toys, whistles and hand made thumb pianos. This is beautiful creative music at it's prime, lets hope that more artists like him stay underground hidden from the claws of commerciality and stay true to their art.

He himself posted as a comment on this youtube video:

"The instrument I'm playing in this video is called sanza or karimba, an instrument originary from Africa, I made myself the one you're hearing in this video, The title of this song is 'The spider's blues', if you want a definition of the genre of this track I would call it 'Tribal Fantasy Music'...but I guess definitions are unimportant and in the end I don't like them. My job in the street is about contributing to the right for musical freedom."

Apple shuts Lala down

Apple who last December bought the music streaming service Lala, apparently didn't find use for their services or are just boldly trying to take down any potential competitor to their music service iTunes; because according to the message displayed at the Lala homepage, the website will close May 31st and as of now they're not accepting new members.

Existing members will retain songs bought through the service and any leftover credits or unused gift cards will be transferred as itunes credits.

Propellerhead releases rebirth ipad/iphone app

Propellerhead software has jumped in the ipad/iphone app boat by releasing the rebirth app. Rebirth is an emulation of the Roland TB-303 Bass synth and the Roland TR-808 and TR-909 drum machines, it also includes audio effects and a pattern sequencer. French based plug-in company Ohm force has recently announced the release of a real time online music creation community/DAW called Ohm Studio. Although several other companies have tried to bring the life the concept of creating music with people around the world via internet, no one really has accomplished a site/product that real musicians and producers can collaborate and create professional sounding material. But it seems ohm studio has hit the spot.

The difference between ohm music and all the others is that this one is an actual sequencer with everything were used to seeing in a DAW (editing and mixing capabilities, effects, filters, virtual instruments etc.) apart from being all that, ohm studio is also an online community where you can find musicians and artists all around the world willing to share their talents and collaborate along with you and others to create music. The concept of Ohm studio sounds really awesome, lets hope it lives up to the expectations, I'm definitely eager to see what this can do.
